Ok, let me first start off by saying, one of the reasons I haven't written poetry in a while is because I discovered a wonderful little program called GarageBand. Many of you may know of it and may even use it, I was introduced to it by my brother who used it to compose sampled electronica music. I began to take interest and started doing the same thing. Well, about the time I had an "album" complete and my brother had four original "albums" done we found that we had used all the good loops that were provided and were starting to hear the same things over and over, we even started recognizing the loops played in commercials, TV shows and other people's music. Clearly these are widely used, but the point is, it was getting stale. We then started learning how to compose our own loops and beats effectively writing original techno and electronica music.

Fast forward, I'm working on my 9th original album and I was again inspired, in the middle of a slow spell, to start writing again. The one responsible? - Ronald Jenkees. If you haven't heard of him or heard his music, go to youtube right now and look him up, you won't be disappointed. His joy for music, his talent and overall positive attitude inspired me to begin writing again. Check out his song "Stay Crunchy." It is incredible...

Anyways, the way he shares his music made me think that I would like to share my music as well. But I'm not sure how to go about this. Copyright issues, hacks, as I'm sure many of you artists are familiar with - people stealing your work and altering it or claiming it as their own, just annoyances and dishonest people trying to taint something you want to share with everyone else. Nevertheless, I want to find a way to get my music out there like Ronald and see what people think of it, possibly even make it available for download. I just want to make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands and someone make money off of what I intend to be free enjoyment for those who appreciate it. If anyone has any advice or suggestions as to where to start or how to go about uploading and protecting my music, I'd like to hear from you. I will also do what I can to get this music to you so you can let me know if it's worth trying to get out there.
